My company: Nanotechnology Industries -www.nanoindustries.com
Press Kit.

My main focus is on the emerging science of nanotechnology, which is a technology already in progress with the long term goal of building molecular machines that could assemble atoms; called assemblers. Assemblers could build anything that pre-exists in nature (since all of nature consists of molecules) and fabricate unique structures. Nano represents a scale of measure, just as micro does, but a nanometer is much smaller and is one billionth of a meter. It is so small that it is invisible to the eye and must be done with special microscopes. Nanotechnology applications will include new bio technologies that will repair disease at the cellular level, and provide such products as super computers, ultra strong materials, and repair ozone and nuclear damage. I founded Nanotechnology Industries in 1998 www.nanoindustries.com a portal for nanotechnology resources and free membership news lists with a current total of over 2 thousand members.
Within the nanotech line of work, I am a regular contributor to several publications, provide interviews and have had created 3D computer images featured in publications to specifically foster awareness of nanotechnology.
If I were to describe my interests in one sentence it would be a futurist, artist, researcher, humanitarian and nanotechnology enthusiast.
In my spare time, I enjoy receiving and sending letters to my sponsored child who lives in Bangkok. I enjoy reading and writing poetry, creating computer generated VRML art and animation, web page design, writing reviews for amazon.com, genealogy and various artistic projects. I enjoy creating in many forms, jewelry making, sewing, making greeting cards, knitting and crochet, painting, etc. I have a romance with the styles, art and history of eras gone by (I guess I’m not all futurist). The past can tell us a lot about ourselves. My favorite television channels are the Science Channel, History Channel, Discovery and Nik (mostly for Jimmy Neutron and Dexter's Lab). And because I like to watch old movies, especially silent movies I also like the Turner Classic Movie channel and and American Movie Classics channel. It's the closest I can currently get to a time machine. It also speaks to the part of me that is very interested in the "firsts" of things.
I am a fan of Rudolph Valentino, Fritz Lang, Chaplin, Mucha, Erte and Marilyn Monroe and also scientists such Einstein, Ada Lovelace and Richard Feynman. My favorite silent movies are Metropolis and the Sheik. My favorite movies of the modern age are Pi and The Matrix, I just wish they didn't’t have such bad endings! I would love to see a technological movie that actually uses the technology as a solution or utopia as opposed to feared antagonist! I am very interested in investigating the big questions in life: understanding how our minds work, the theory of thought, the origins (and history) of man, the birth of the universe and our developed philosophy.
I was attending North Seattle Community College (in consideration of the University of Washington's Nanotechnology Phd. program) but due to my interest in 3D animation I attended Discreet courses, where I was trained in the 3D Studio Max program for making animations. I also received 2 other animation certificates through Mesmer Animation labs on specialized animation (Combustion and Character Studio). My cgi art work has been featured in magazines, books and exhibits. I am now currently working on animation projects. I also have an online jewelry store.
